Don’t grieve for me now I’m free,
I’m following the path made for me,
I took the hand, I heard the call,
Then turned and bid farewell to all.
I could not stay away,
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found my peace ….,
At last the pain has gone away.
But if my parting left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy,
A laugh , a kiss,
Ah yes, these things too I will miss.
Be not burdened deep with sorrow,
I wish you sunshine for tomorrow,
My life’s been full, I’ve savoured much,
Good family, good times and a loved ones touch.
My time was special , seemed all to brief,
But don’t lengthen it now with undue grief,
Lift up your heart and share with me,
I’m wanted now, I’m set free.
