The Scenic Rim’s cemeteries date back to the 1880s and are the final resting place for many of the region’s pioneering families. As well as Council-managed cemeteries, a number of smaller, private cemeteries exist.
The region features some beautiful historic Churches, many of which have stood since European settlement. This early architecture has been preserved over the years and provides an interesting insight into the craftsmanship that existed in the region in those formative years.
